Stock indexes rip about 2% each after Trump says Iran deal reached, signing soon
Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Real Estate, Consumption and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa gained 1.71%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF:VAMO3), which rose 6.52% or 0.18 points to trade at 2.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroreconcavo SA (BVMF:RECV3) added 5.91% or 0.62 points to end at 11.12 and Direcional Engenharia SA (BVMF:DIRR3) was up 5.78% or 0.74 points to 13.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Natura & Co SA (BVMF:NATU3), which fell 1.96% or 0.17 points to trade at 8.53 at the close. SLC Agricola SA (BVMF:SLCE3) declined 1.41% or 0.21 points to end at 14.72 and Prio SA (BVMF:PRIO3) was down 1.32% or 0.83 points to 61.73.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 621 to 332 and 36 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 1.88% to 32.57.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 2.50% or 103.35 to $4,236.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 4.48% or 4.03 to hit $86.00 a barrel, while the July US coffee C contract rose 2.66% or 6.60 to trade at $255.00 .
USD/BRL was down 1.69% to 5.10, while EUR/BRL fell 1.18% to 5.92.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 99.67.
